Maddie Brown — daughter of Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his second wife, Janelle — just can’t seem to catch a break.

On last night’s episode of the TLC reality show, it was revealed that the Mormon Church rejected her because of her parents’ unconventional lifestyle.

On the show, she explained, “I got a phone call and they’re not letting me get baptized. They called me and said it was too contradictory and they hope I reconsider [joining the church] when we’re not such a public family.”

The 19-year-old later took to Twitter to express her disappointment, but clarify that she’s doing well.

“The LDS church rejecting me for my parents choices was one of the most devastating things I have been through,” she said, adding, “After that happened, I sat and reevaluated everything I had learned about the church. In itself, the church is absolutely beautiful. Not with all the politics though.”

Fortunately, she doesn’t seem to have any regrets about the church’s decision.

“I am very happy with my life now. My family was & is very supportive. I now also have an amazing fiancé & a good life to look forward to,” she tweeted.

Similarly, her mother took to Twitter to say, “Madison was pretty devastated by the decision of the LDS church. Fundamentalist kids have a hard time joining mainstream LDS churches without distancing themselves from their families.”

This is the latest bout of drama for the polygamist, reality TV family.

Last week, it was revealed that Meri was not only having an affair with someone she met online, but also the victim of a “Catfish,” as her online suitor was actually a woman pretending to be a man.
