Once you’re hooked on being a reality TV star, it’s hard to live your life without being followed around by a cameraman!
Melissa Rycroft has been plotting her return to prime time for years, but it looks like her dreams of coming back to TV are about to become a reality. On August 4, Melissa filmed a pilot in Tarzana, Calif., for a show insiders say she’s spent the last few months shopping to networks — and now more than a few of them have expressed interest in it. “Melissa’s show is very close to getting picked up,” says a friend.
No stranger to reality TV — she first found and then lost love on The Bachelor and wound up on Dancing With the Stars — Melissa is hoping this show, which showcases her life as a mom and a businesswoman, will be her lucky charm. Melissa, 28, has been flying under the radar since marrying insurance agent Tye Strickland in 2009. “She misses being in the spotlight,” says the friend.
