Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have reportedly been sued for wage theft by former interns.
The plaintiffs claim the 29-year-old moguls not only neglected to properly compensate the college students, but also "overworked" their young employees.
According to Page Six, the lead plaintiff is former design intern Shahista Lalani, who worked directly under the head technical designer of the twins’ fashion label The Row for five months in 2012.

“She was very demanding,” the Parsons School of Design grad claims. “I was doing the work of three interns. I was talking to her all day, all night. Emails at nighttime for the next day, like 10 p.m. at night.”
She says she landed in the hospital because of the toll the job’s 50-hour workweeks took on her body.

“You’re like an employee, except you’re not getting paid,” she explains.
“They’re kind of mean to you. Other interns have cried. I’d see a lot of kids crying doing coffee runs, photocopying stuff.”
While she never worked directly for the twins, she has nothing but respect for the two business ladies.
“They’re really nice people,” Shahista insists. “They were never mean to anyone. They’re business people.”
