Not all publicity is good publicity, at least according to luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton. The company won a $117,000 lawsuit that alleged that a Britney Spears music video violated counterfeiting laws by showing off a pink Vuitton-upholstered dashboard. A Paris civil court ordered Sony BMG and MTV Online to stop broadcasting and marketing the video for "Do Somethin'" and both companies were fined $117,000. In the video, Britney is in the driver's seat of a hot pink Hummer with a dashboard that resembles Vuitton's "Cherry Blossoms" design. The video was called an "attack" on the brand and its luxury image. Fortunately, this is one case that didn't charge Britney with anything - just her record label and MTV Online.
