After two seasons of finding America’s hottest voices on The X Factor, judge L.A. Reid has officially called it quits.

"I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year," L.A., the current chairman and CEO of Epic Records, admitted to Access Hollywood. "I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected."

So how does he feel about leaving the judges’ panel? "It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit."

L.A. currently sits beside fellow judges Demi Lovato, Britney Spears and show creator, Simon Cowell. The business mogul also assured his fans that his exit from the hit show has nothing to do with previous spats with Simon.

"I love Simon,” L.A. confessed. “We have a great relationship. We have fun together, we talk, we laugh, we do bad things, we're friends."

While L.A. made it through multiple seasons on the panel, which is more than we can say for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who only lasted one season, L.A. admits his time on the show was "a nice break" from his day job, "but now I've got to go back to work."
