In Touch has obtained the original version of the book, titled Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World. It exposed all of Kate's darkest secrets, and the mother of eight successfully kept it off the market for the last two years. The book was on sale for just two days in 2012 before Kate’s legal team had it banned, but soon it will be re-released.
The author, former reporter Robert Hoffman, alleges he obtained information from her computer’s hard drive, including personal emails, contracts and even her diary after Kate discarded the hard drive in the trash.
Amongst the bombshell claims — the worst from Kate’s alleged diary (featured in the book’s original version, obtained by In Touch) – is an act of violence expressed against Kate’s son, Collin.
“I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could and thought I may seriously injure him, so I sent him to his crib ... and whipped him into it very hard,” the book quotes from her diary. And there’s more violence directed toward Collin and his siblings: “I really REALLY lost it! I pulled Collin up by the hair and I spanked them so hard!”
It doesn’t end there, as Kate writes about a call to then-husband Jon after another round of spankings: “I told him in so many words that I felt like I may hurt his children.”
