NBA player Dwyane Wade's cousin was fatally shot in a crossfire in Chicago, police are reporting.
Nykea Aldridge was pushing a stroller while walking down a street in the South Side of Chicago when multiple men began shooting at each other, striking the woman in the head and arm. She died 45 minutes later at an area hospital.
"My cousin was killed today in Chicago," Dwyane confirmed on Twitter. "Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal. #EnoughIsEnough."
Earlier this year, the basketball star took to the stage at the ESPY Awards alongside NBA players LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul to speak out about gun violence.

Nykea aunt, Dwyane's mother, told a local news station that the mother-of-four was on her way to register her children at the elementary school when she was killed. Two suspects are in custody, CNN reports.
