‘Dancing With the
Stars’ Leah Remini
Opens Up About Leaving
Want to See Me Fail’
It’s been a big year for Leah Remini.
Not only is she dancing her way to the top with partner Tony Dovolani, but she also took a giant leap earlier this year she decided to leave the Church of Scientology.
While she has remained extremely tight-lipped about her departure, she opened up on last night’s Dancing With the Stars and explained to In Touch why her success on the show is especially important to her right now.
“I’m going through a personal and big change for me and my family,” Leah told Tony. “The church is looking for me to fail so they can say to their parishioners, ‘You see what happens when you leave the church?’ They’re waiting for me to fail.”
When In Touch caught up with Leah after the show last night, she elaborated on those comments.

“It’s just the mentality that if you leave something, they want people to believe that you’re not going to do well in life in general,” Leah told In Touch.
One thing that attributes to Leah’s success is the support system from her friends, family and—most importantly—Tony.
When Leah explained that the Church wants to see her fail, Tony quickly quipped that he “will never allow that.”
Not only has Leah scored well on both episodes (scoring a 21 and 24 on the first and second episodes, respectively), but she’s also won over many fans.
Looks like Leah and Tony should keep up whatever they’re doing!
