Early Tuesday morning, pop singer Justin Bieber’s home was raided by police officers in Los Angeles, following an incident in which the 19-year-old allegedly egged the home of his neighbor.
Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the search.
“We are executing a search warrant on Justin Bieber’s home this morning as part of our now felony vandalism investigation into the allegation that he egged a neighbor’s home,” Whitmore told In Touch. “I can tell you we are in the final stages of the investigation, and he has been here while the search continues to be executed.”
According to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's station, the purpose of the serach warrant is "to seek video surveillance or other possible evidence in the vandalism that occured on Jan. 9, 2014. The vandlism damage is estimated by the homeowner to be approximately $20,000."
As it turns out, Justin wasn’t the only one in the home at the time. Lil Za—Justin’s close friend who once lived with the pop star—was reportedly arrested for drug possession at the singer’s home. As of now, it is being reported that he was found with cocaine.
Whitmore also spoke about whether or not Justin will face a similar fate—and end up behind bars.
“Justin will probably not be arrested this week, but it all depends on what we find during this investigation,” he said.
