“His name is Trent Farnes and he is a cute local Utah boy who just surprised me out of the blue and things are going really well,” the Salt Lake City hair stylist tells In Touch. “It's been a month now, so it's kind of new.”
And the now 32-year-old, who was dubbed the house villain on the hit ABC show and the program’s spin-off, Bachelor Pad, has a theory as to why things are finally looking up for her.
“I feel that if you really want to make your relationship work you have to get out of the limelight and focus on each other,” she says. “I just don't know how much of that is really going to help solidify a real solid foundation.”
So what does she think this means for the fate of the newest Bachelor couple, Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe—who stayed in the limelight by jumping right into Dancing With the Stars after he found love?
“It really hasn't worked for anyone, you know?” Michelle says, laughing. “I do think they need some time to have a normal life, but the show is a great opportunity and you would have to be almost crazy not to do it.”
As for Michelle, she’s just enjoying her newfound love.
“He's wonderful,” the single mom says about her new man. “I'm doing really good.”
