In another step toward regaining her life, Amy Winehouse took the stand at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on July 23 to testify against a woman who claims the troubled singer assaulted her last fall. Looking healthy in a conservative gray suit and sporting her trademark beehive, Amy claimed she was “scared” when dancer Sherene Flash asked her to pose in a photo at The Summer Ball in Berkeley Square in September 2008. "She lent down all over me. She had her face down by me," the songstress, who pleaded not guilty last March, added. However, prosecuting lawyer Lyall Thompson believes Amy “acted with deliberate and unjustifiable violence” when she allegedly struck the victim in the face. Witnesses claimed that the starlet seemed intoxicated at the time of the reported incident. Amy, who has publicly struggled with drug addiction and split from her husband Blake Fielder-Civil last winter, recently returned home to the U.K. after a seven-month stay on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
