Whitney Port breaks up with Jay Lyon – for good

The City's Whitney Port and her reality show boyfriend, Jay Lyon, have called it quits, a friend of Whitney's reveals to In Touch. "They broke up on Monday," said the friend. "Whitney did it over the phone, she was basically just not happy for a while and decided she really wanted to end it. Jay said they should talk things over, but it seems her mind is made up."

The couple agreed to take a break while Jay toured with his band Tamarama, as shown in this week's episode, but later reconciled. "The episode that aired on Monday was filmed over a month ago. They got back together after that, but now Whitney has dumped him for good," says the friend.

The couple met and began dating last summer when Whitney began filming MTV's The City and moved to Manhattan. They had been dating ever since. "There was no cheating or anything like that, she's just finally fed up," the friend says. "She asked her close friends for advice and thinks it's best her and Jay both go their separate ways. He's not going to change and she's just sick of it."
