Jennifer Aniston Reveals If She’d Ever Join Social Media: ‘What You Resist, Persists’

Has Jennifer Aniston been bit by the social media bug? In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 50-year-old shared if she would ever join Instagram like her Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon. Although we might not see the actress on our feed anytime soon, she’s definitely considering it.

“What you resist, persists,” Jen said in reference to all the people pressuring the star to join Instagram. “I think it is something that is a part of our world now and it’s not going away,” she added, acknowledging how engrained a social media presence is in our society.

Turns out, Reese, 43, might have influenced the actress to give the ‘gram a shot. “Listening to you talk about it and how you can actually kind of have a little bit more control over the narrative that’s out there and right some wrongs and some silly things that God knows are said … often, sounds intriguing,” she said to the outlet and Reese. So will we be seeing @JenniferAniston anytime soon? “Maybe, you never know,” Jen said.

Perhaps the hair icon’s hesitation to go online is in part due to her love for a less internet-savvy decade. “When I think back on the ’90s, it makes me nostalgic — period,” she told InStyle magazine back in August. “I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy,” referring to her hit tv show Friends. “I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I’m super nostalgic. Anything can make me go, ‘Aww.’ Even Fred Segal, I guess. I don’t know why that one got me. [laughs]”

Although times may be changing, according to good pal Adam Sander, Jen is still as funny as ever. “I had dinner with her a couple nights ago. She’s just funny as hell. I love her,” the 53-year-old actor told In Touch and other reporters at the Uncut Gems premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September. “She’s just a good friend of mine and a nice person.” Join the ‘gram Jen so we can be your friend, too!
