Lights, Camera, Action! Tara Reid’s Been Busy Since ‘American Pie’ — See What She’s Been Up To
Booked and busy! Tara Reid is widely recognized for starring as Victoria “Vicky” Lathum in the wildly outrageous R-rated teen comedy American Pie back in 1999, as well as the popular sequels. Since then, the actress has continued to snag roles on television and in films like Josie and the Pussycats, Van Wilder as well as Sharknado.
Luckily for fans, we haven’t seen the last of her yet, because she recently announced her latest projects while taking to social media.
On Sunday, November 17, Tara told people to go check out her enticing new horror movie Art of the Dead which is available to watch on Amazon. The plot is about a man who buys “a collection of seven paintings to hang in his wealthy estate,” only to discover that he’s “unleashed” an evil entity that wreaks havoc upon him and his family.
Tara is also starring in a comical new holiday flick titled American Christmas that can be watched on Amazon and Showtime. She plays the character Penny, who is a “42-year old bully,” that thinks she still reigns triumphant years after her prom queen days.
In this movie, her mother, Martha, is finally ~over~ dealing with her family’s shenanigans, especially when it’s that extra special time of year. Viewers get to see if the festivities bring their family together or tear them all apart.
And that’s not all! The actress will even be traveling overseas to film Tom, Dick and Harry next year. As of now, it’s in pre-production, but she’s thrilled about the opportunity. “So excited to start shooting my movie we start in March in London,” Tara wrote on Instagram.
Looking ahead, the blonde beauty has more than 10 projects on her roster scheduled for 2020, according to her IMDB page, so she’s staying on her grind!
Tara recently celebrated her 44th birthday on November 8, and she shared a few new photos showing her rocking some fierce styles while ringing in the occasion. So, what has she learned over the years? These days, Tara is all about focusing on the positive.
“Laughing is the only way to go,” she captioned an Instagram post in October. “I like to think I have a good sense of humor and even in the toughest times I’ve always found a slice of humor to put a smile on my face.” Ain’t it the truth!
In a previous interview, the New Jersey native talked about the success of the Sharknado movies (in which she played April Wexler) and how it proved that she’s not going to fade away anytime soon.
“I think people are saying, ‘This girl has lasting power. She’s been in this business since she was 6 years old,'” she told TIME. “I’ve done over 45 movies. Regardless if they’re A movies, B movies, C movies, D movies.”
“I always stay working,” the star concluded. “I love what I do.”
