Buckle up, true crime enthusiasts. Episode 2 of the Netflix’s new Unsolved Mysteries revival explores the death of Georgia hairdresser Patrice Endres in 2004. The stylist’s remains were tragically discovered in December 2005, but there are still many questions left unanswered about the day she vanished. Find out why investigators are taking a closer look at “13 minutes” of that fateful afternoon that are “incredibly crucial” to finding a break in the case. Keep reading for details.

Who Was Patrice Endres?

The 38-year-old woman was a wife and mother, as well as a hairdresser. She mysteriously disappeared from her salon, Tamber’s Trim ‘N Tan, in Cummings, Georgia on April 15, 2004.

What Happened That Fateful Day?

She had two appointments scheduled that morning. Endres spoke with a client on the phone at 11:37 a.m., but didn’t answer when she got another phone call at 11:50 a.m. It’s speculated she was abducted at that point in time.

“It’s critical that we understand what happened in those 13 minutes between 11:37 and 11:50,” Special Agent Mitchell Posey said in the series.

During those 13 minutes, two witnesses saw a blue car, speculated to be a Chevy Lumina or a Ford Taurus, parked in the driveway of her salon. Endres’ vehicle was also in the lot, and she was seemingly spotted in the front seat of the blue car.

“They had hands on each other,” witness Tammy Fincher said about what she saw. “I don’t know if one had tripped, if one was pushing one down, if one was helping one up. It just did not look normal.”

Was Anybody Charged With Her Murder After Her Remains Were Found?

Although investigators discovered her remains in the back of a Lebanon Baptist Church, nobody has been charged in her murder — but there have been several suspects.

Gary Hilton was speculated to be responsible for Endres’ murder as he used to target hair salons for robberies and didn’t have an alibi for that day. The “National Forest Serial Killer” is still on death row after being convicted of other murders.

Another convicted killer Jeremy Bryan Jones confessed to killing Endres and even claimed he disposed of her body by putting it in a nearby river, but she was found on land, so his story didn’t appear to add up. He is also currently on death row for another murder.

Why Does Patrice’s Son Pistol Think Her Second Husband Was Involved?

“I think Rob had something to do with my mother’s murder,” Pistol alleged in the show, claiming his mother wanted to get a divorce from second husband, Rob Endres. However, her husband denies she ever spoke about getting a divorce in the episode.

And Pistol isn’t the only one who speculates Rob was involved after he exhibited some strange behavior, including carrying around her skull. Endres’ friends worry the same, yet he fully denies the murder allegations and has a gas station receipt which appeared to put him elsewhere at the time of the crime.
