Patricia Krentcil aka “Tan Mom” has given up tanning in favor of a new vice — Botox.

The 49-year-old, who famously made headlines when she admitted she was “addicted” to tanning and was accused of taking her then-five-year-old daughter in one of the tanning beds, says she spends $300 every three months on the injections.

“I started reading about celebrities having Botox and realized that [it] could give me the same confidence without damaging my skin,” she explains. “I couldn’t believe the results.”

Patricia doesn’t plan on stopping there. In addition to Botox, she is considering an eye-lift and a treatment to smooth the damage to her skin caused by her habit of hitting the tanning salon up to 20 times per month.

She now calls her former addiction “a huge mistake” and decided to give it up when she realized she was putting her health in danger.

And giving it up has had some positive benefits! The mom-of-three says her new, paler look has improved her sex life.
