What was she thinking? On January 24, Selena Gomez took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and fellow songstress Julia Michaels, in honor of their new single, “Anxiety,” dropping. As sweet as Selena’s intentions were, she could have chosen a less alarming photograph. Watch the video above to see the photo she posted and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

“My sweet soul sister. Julia you have been a huge part of my life. You have taught me how to have courage when I have self doubt. This song is extremely close to my heart as I’ve experienced anxiety and know a lot of my friends do too. You’re never alone if you feel this way. The message is much needed and I really hope you guys like it!” Selena captioned the post.

Between mentioning her anxiety and the faux injuries, Selena’s 144 million followers pretty much lost their s–t. “Why are you bleeding?” “Why are you covered in blood?” “Uh, why is there blood on your skin?” and “I was so upset when I saw the blood. Are you OK?” were some of the more concerned comments.

Thankfully, other Selenators put two and two together and realized that their queen wasn’t actually in any danger. “Aw! This is so sweet and cute,” one commented. “Can’t wait to hear this song! Love you so much,” added another. To be fair, however, many of Selena’s fans are quite young. It’s not entirely unsurprising that they would worry about her or be disturbed by the image of her bleeding. Perhaps Ms. Gomez can choose a more PG picture in the future. Just a suggestion, girl!
