She’s worried. Kyle Richards is pushing her sister Kim Richards to return to treatment for substance abuse issues, several sources told Us Weekly on August 13. Kim has wrestled with substance abuse in the past and her sibling apparently wants her to go back to rehab.

“Kyle became aware that Kim was struggling in recent weeks and got extremely concerned based on what she was hearing,” one insider explained. They added that Kim, 54, isn’t “doing well” at the moment. “Kyle isn’t a doctor and can’t make that determination,” a source added. “Which is why she is trying to get Kim into treatment.”

A source told Us Weekly the sisters are on good terms but have been “living their own lives” for a while now. “It’s going to be an ongoing conversation,” the insider said. “But the good news is that Kim is being extremely receptive to Kyle, recognizing she is coming from a place of love. Kyle isn’t giving up and is trying again to get Kim to agree. It’s more for mental health than sobriety issues.” The outlet checked with multiple sources to confirm Kim has not yet checked into treatment.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star previously completed a stint in rehab but unfortunately relapsed in 2015. After she was in and out of treatment and arrested for shoplifting in 2015, she “finally managed to get sober and take control of her life,” a source told Life & Style in April 2016. “But she’s still very vulnerable.”

Kim was eventually ordered to attend AA meetings and complete 450 hours of community service, Us Weekly reported. She was officially off probation in September 2018.

Her sister Kyle, 50, actually attributed the show with helping Kim and told SiriusXM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show in June 2019, “If anything, being on the show made her accountable and she says that as well,” Kyle revealed. “She says that it saved her life because, you know, there’s nowhere to hide and everyone knows — now anywhere she goes, people know who she is. She can’t get away with anything! So it actually helped her!” Let’s hope that if she’s really hit a rough spot again, she gets help from outside the Bravo world, too.
