She’s not having it! Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara, defended her client’s cinched waist look at the 2019 Met Gala on Instagram after haters accused the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star of manipulating her waist for the outfit, E! News reported.

Kim, 38, wore a Mugler design clearly made to fit every curve of her body at the event. And her trainer wants everyone to know that the reality star put in a lot of work to look that good on the red carpet. “To make things clear,” the fitness expert wrote, “1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f–king week, she wakes up early AF and is dedicated.”

Melissa added, “3. I paved the road for her but SHE did the work! MOST IMPORTANTLY I don’t give s–t about your opinions on her body if you think [it’s] fake or not! I see her every morning, I see her train and I see her sweat and I see all the work she does outside the gym and THAT is commendable!” Now, that’s what we call a clap back!

Kim explained the inspiration behind the dress and told E! News, “This is the first time in 20 years that Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Thierry Mugler. He hasn’t designed in 20 years, so to come and design this gown for me is such an honor. This is about eight months in the making.” She added, “He just envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, on the red carpet, wet, dripping, that is the vibe tonight.” It may not exactly be “Camp: Notes On Fashion” — this year’s exhibition theme — but we will admit, they pretty much nailed the “vibe” Kim mentioned.

Kim attended with her husband, Kanye West, who didn’t seem to try to nail the camp theme at all. But maybe the point was to make his wife — and her remarkable figure — stand out more. And stand out she did, even if internet trolls could barely believe Kim achieved most of that look thanks to her own hard work and determination.
