After a tumultuous divorce battle, Mel B is finally free from her ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte. After 11 months of going back and forth in court and working out most of their issues in August, they can finally move on with their lives.

One of the main things that Stephen was fighting for was getting custody of Angel, who is Mel’s daughter that she had with Eddie Murphy. According to documents obtained by In Touch, it says that Mel B must be kept 200 yards away from Stephen and his daughter, Giselle, from a previous relationship. Stephen must also be kept 200 yards away from Mel and Angel.

Mel and Stephen have to split the gym equipment they kept at their house, however, there was a win for Scary Spice: she gets to keep her studio equipment. She even paid Stephen $2,500 for a “video game console labeled Spice Girls.”

Their seven-year-old daughter, Madison, will get to FaceTime with both of her parents every night between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., depending on who doesn’t have custody that night. While the former couple has been known to bash each other in the press, they have agreed to not talk badly about each other in front of their little girl.

Mel will pay her ex $5,000 per month in child support for Madison and she will also have to pay him $350,000 in attorney’s fees. Yikes!

The former Spice Girl has a memoir coming out in this month where she talks about her relationship with Stephen. She confessed to guest host Lea Michele on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, “My therapy changed a little bit because I was in a very intense relationship, which you can all read about in my book. I do address a lot of those issues. But no, I’m not an alcoholic; no, I’m not a sex addict.”

Even though their relationship is over, the 43-year-old is still working through her issues. She added, “You know, I was with the same person for 10 years, and that was quite a turmoil, very intense. That’s all I can say about it. I’d like to say a lot more, but on this show, let’s keep it PC. But…I did kind of have to ease my pain. I suffer a lot from PTSD.”

Poor Mel, but we’re glad that she can finally move on and close this chapter in her life!
