OMGTrouble in Paradise? Meghan Markle Steps Out Without Wearing Her Engagement Ring
Trouble in paradise? On Monday, March 11, Meghan Markle stepped out to celebrate England’s Commonwealth Day in London — without her engagement ring! Royal fans had a complete panic attack when they noticed that the only ring that the duchess was rocking was her Welsh gold wedding band on her left ring finger. Her three-stone diamond ring was nowhere to be found — why?
Well, she is eight months pregnant, so her hands must be pretty swollen! Imagine trying to get that massive ring to fit on bloated up fingers … probably not the best look. On a more positive note, maybe she was getting her ring cleaned?
We truly hope the 37-year-old did not lose the gorgeous piece of jewelry, which includes gems that once belonged to Princess Diana. But not to worry, because Meg is not the first royal who took a break from wearing their engagement ring. Kate Middleton was spotted a couple of times without her engagement ring while she was pregnant with Prince Louis, so hopefully, the ring is safe and sound.
On March 11, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry first visited Canada House in London, the home of the Canadian High Commission to the United Kingdom, in honor of Commonwealth Day. Meghan showed love to the country she once called home by rocking a beautiful emerald green coat designed by Erdem, who was born in Canada. The dashing couple joined in on honoring the diverse community of young Canadians who live in the U.K. — who were lucky enough to teach the royals how to make special maple candy! The Commonwealth-based organization means an immense amount to both Harry and Meghan. On International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019, Meg was announced Vice President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, alongside Harry who is president.
Later in the day, the duchess and 34-year-old stud reunited with the royal family for a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. And yes, Meghan and Kate had a friendly greeting (a kiss on the cheek) despite the rumors of the bad blood between the two. This is their second appearance together this month, and we’re not complaining — double the outfits, double the fun!
The annual church service tributes the family of the 53 nations that make up the British Commonwealth. The ceremony, which celebrated peaceful friendships across the Commonwealth, included performances by The Dhol Foundation drummers, Clean Bandit, William Barton, Alfie Boe, and more. Meg could have used a couple of tissues during Alfie Boe’s performance of Snow Patrol’s “Run” as she was seen getting a little teary-eyed, aww Meg. Blame it on the hormones girl.
The former Suits actress has announced that she is due around late April/ early May so … the countdown begins now!
