Just like old times! Maitland Ward reunited with her former Boy Meets World costar Will Friedle at Comic-Con in October, and the redheaded beauty couldn’t help but gush about their time together. “It was great. It was like no time had passed at all,” the 42-year-old told In Touch exclusively. “Of course, I had seen him just a couple of years ago for Girl Meets World, so it’s not like it had been 20 years, but it was fun. He gave me a big hug. He was really sweet and supportive.”

Maitland added, “It was like seeing your cousin or somebody close to you in your past. It’s still amazing to me how iconic that show is and also how good everybody turned out. I mean, there are a lot of shows where it’s a mess and horror stories and everything. Everybody really just turned out nice, and it’s just so comforting. It’s like seeing Will and others, it’s like going home again. It’s just like family reunions!”

These days, the Disney alum is taking the next step in her new career. In September, Maitland released her first adult feature, Drive, and now she has officially signed a deal with Vixen Media Group — the company owns Deeper.com and specializes in the production of adult content — to be the face of Deeper and their additional platforms.

However, Will, 43 — who played Eric Matthews on the show opposite of Maitland, who played Rachel McGuire — seemed to be in the know about her next endeavor and explained how excited he was for her. “The first thing he said, ‘Wow miss. You have been making the rounds!’ Yeah, he saw all of the stuff,” she admitted. “He said, ‘Wow, I am so proud of you, but I am not going to watch it because it’s too weird for me.’ I said, ‘No, but you can watch the other parts of it — the acting parts of it.’ But that was funny, he started laughing at that. He was like, ‘No, I can’t see you like that.’ We had a laugh about it.’”

The two played college roommates on the series, and Maitland revealed that the two were extremely close in real life, too. “He is like a brother,” she said. “He has always been so sweet even though on the show, they were like the roommates lusting after me. I just can’t say enough about the experience and having these people in my life all this time later and having a support system and a TV family like that, it’s really a special thing.”

Maitland has nothing but fond memories from the show, and she thinks the sitcom — which aired from 1993 to 2000 — should be rebooted. “There should be a reunion,” she stated. “There should be a reunion with that Disney+! They should do something like that — they should do a special movie or something.”
