This could really be a problem. Lori Loughlin is worked up about her kids’ possible involvement in her college admissions scandal trial, and an insider told In Touch exclusively, “The thought of her daughters being called to testify against her has her freaking out.”

”Lori is at her wit’s end,” the source added. “She’s stressed out about her future, she’s full of regret and the thought of spending years behind bars is all she can think about. She’s finding it hard to go on, to breathe even, she’s about to lose it. Her friends say she’s finally ready to throw in the towel and cop a plea deal. She doesn’t understand why they decided to fight this. Unfortunately, [her husband] Mossimo still wants to hold out and that’s causing all types of problems for her.”

Loughlin, 55, was indicted and arrested in March after she and her spouse allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters (Isabella, 21, and Olivia, 20) designated as recruits to the USC crew team.” The problem was, the young women weren’t actually a part of crew  — it was all a ruse to help facilitate their admission to the school.

“Lori is a complete mess, all she can say, over and over, is what a huge mistake she made,” the source continued. “She wishes she could go back in time and do it all over again. Mossimo’s insistence on pleading innocent and the legal counsel they received … she feels she was steered in the wrong direction.” Loughlin previously wanted to arrange a plea deal that would mean she got no prison time, but the United States Department of Justice handed down more charges related to the scandal on October 22, so that seems especially unlikely.

The Fuller House actress intends to plead not guilty to the money laundering and conspiracy charges. For now, she’s awaiting her trial to find out whether she might end up behind bars like Felicity Huffman, who was indicted in the same Operation Varsity Blues case.

“She sees how Felicity is already out of prison and moving on with her life, and she can’t help but think how stupid and entitled she was for thinking that she could fight this,” the insider concluded. “Lori’s life right now is an absolute nightmare, and it’s only going to get worse.”
