Fans Think Justin Bieber’s Mom Pattie Mallette Threw Shade at His Engagement to Hailey Baldwin
Does he have his mom's approval? Fans were surprised when Justin Bieber confirmed his engagement to on-again, off-again girlfriend Hailey Baldwin earlier this month, and even though Justin and Hailey seem to be very much in love, there are always going to be people throwing shade — even Justin's own mother Pattie Mallette. Eagled-eyed fans noticed two very telling details on Pattie's Twitter that may seem to prove that she isn't exactly on board with her son's quick engagement.
First, fans noticed that Pattie removed a line from her bio that read, "Yes. Justin Bieber is my son," according to Hollywood Life. It's unclear why Pattie removed that line, but she replaced it with, "#LoveWins #LOVEARMY."
Another reason why fans think Pattie could have some ill feelings toward Justin and Hailey's engagement is because she seemed to co-sign on some shade about fast engagements thrown by none other than former Bachelor star Sean Lowe — who also proposed to his current wife Catherine Giudici after a whirlwind romance on the popular ABC reality TV series.
"Before proposing to a woman they’ve only known for a few weeks, I think the final guys on The Bachelorette should come help me scrub my kid’s diarrhea out of my living room rug just to make sure they’re serious about the whole 'I want a family with you' thing,'" Sean wrote just weeks after Justin's engagement to Hailey, and Justin's mom "liked" the comment on Twitter.
Justin and Hailey got engaged after only one month of dating, but it's not like the pair were total strangers before that. They actually had quite the history, and they dated off and on since they met in 2009 — and when they weren't dating, they remained very good friends. Now that they've rekindled their romance, they aren't wasting any time walking down the aisle.
"The wedding will most likely be in the fall," a source told In Touch. "And this will be a blowout event."
