Josh And Anna Duggar Reportedly Made A Rare Appearance Together At Josie Bates’ Wedding
Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates married Kelton Balka over the weekend — and disgraced reality star Josh Duggar was there! The Counting On alum reportedly made a rare appearance at the nuptials with his wife of ten years, Anna.
Josie married her fiancé Kelton Balka, 23, on Friday, Oct. 5, in an outdoor wedding ceremony at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, TN. The couple got engaged in back in June, and some of Josie’s family members played very special roles in her wedding ceremony. Josie’s father, Pastor Gil Bates officiated the ceremony, and Josie’s older sisters Erin Paine and Tori Bates performed music for the ceremony, according to Us Weekly. Josie’s brother Lawson continued his family tradition of writing a special, personalized song for the newlyweds. So sweet!
Yet Josh’s appearance came as a surprise since he’s been laying low the last few years. The former TLC star was involved in two back-to-back scandals in 2015 — first, when In Touch uncovered Josh’s molestation scandal involving his younger sisters when he was 15 years old. Just months later, Josh was involved in a cheating scandal during the Ashley Madison hack, after which he admitted that he cheated on his wife.
“I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation,” Josh said at the time. “We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling.”
But it seems like everyone put the past behind them — at least for the day — to celebrate the young couple. “So excited to begin our life together ?10.05.2018” Josie captioned a series of photos on Instagram with her new husband. Congrats!
