From Announcer To Fighter! ‘TM2’ Star Javi Marroquin Is Officially Gearing Up For His Own Celeb Boxing Match
That was fast! Teen Mom fans may have been disappointed when former star Farrah Abraham dropped out of her celebrity boxing match with Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander after months of hyping it up, but now they have something new to look forward to! On Nov. 15, Javi Marroquin revealed that he had signed on to do the next charity fight!
“IT’S OFFICIAL! Signed up to fight in @celebrityboxing1 67 Feb. 16 in Ft Lauderdale!” Javi wrote alongside a photo of him autographing a contract. “Looking for a fighter so DM @celebrityboxing1 if you want to get in the ring with me.” Of course, that immediately lead fans to share their thoughts on who his competitor should be.
“Money is on @kaillowry,” said one fan, joking that Javi would be fighting his ex-wife (which obvi wouldn’t ever happen). “@tylerbaltierramtv … are you in? That would be great to watch,” said another, suggesting that Catelynn Lowell’s husband hop in the ring. He has recently gotten into killer shape after all, so that might actually be a great idea! “How about Adam, Chelsea’s ex?” asked a third, while a fourth chimed in: “@corywharton_ig kick his a–!”
Javi definitely knows what he’s getting into with this fight, since he was the celebrity announcer for the one that was supposed to feature Farrah, but ended up being Hoopz against Mob Wives star Natalie DiDonato. Hoopz won the fight, and they were able to raise a good chunk of cash for anti-bullying causes. Javi’s fight will also be devoted to a good cause. He told Radar, “We are going to look for a military charity.” That makes sense, because Javi himself serves in the Air Force.
While Javi admits he’s never been in a boxing match and is a little nervous, he plans to get a trainer ASAP and he thinks with a little work he could “kick someone’s a–!”
