Rapper CupcakKe At Hospital For ‘Mental Evaluation’ After Disturbing Suicidal Tweet
On the heels of some incredibly disturbing and emotional social media activity, rapper CupcakKe has been accounted for by the Chicago Police Department, Life & Style can confirm. She was taken to a hospital for a “mental evaluation” rather than injuries.
On Jan. 7, the 21-year-old took to Twitter and shared some upsetting thoughts. “[I’m] about to commit suicide,” the tweet read. She screencapped the tweet and posted it to her Instagram as well. “Thank you for everything y’all have done for me, I really appreciate it,” she captioned the repost.
A friend, Elijah Daniel, took to Twitter a few times as well following the posts to keep fans and followers updated on CupcakKe’s condition. “UPDATE: Police [are] not able to give me any more details other than Elizabeth is OKAY [sic] and at the hospital,” he tweeted a few hours after the incident with a final update.

The rapper, who was born Elizabeth Harris, has been vocal about her mental health and struggles since the summer. In August, she also tweeted about her struggles with depression. “So I wasn’t gone [sic] say nothing but I try to be as positive as possible,” she wrote. “But I just want to say I’m at a very low [and] depressed point in my life, I didn’t realize it until I went [four] days without eating, I know this may not make sense but food made me happy, people made me happy also.”
