She’s being positive! We can’t imagine how difficult the past week must have been for former Dog The Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman and her family. Last week, Beth was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery after her throat cancer returned, and even though Beth’s husband Duane “Dog” Chapman told In Touch that she currently out of the hospital and back home recovering, her cancer battle isn’t quite over yet. But Beth has all of the support she needs from her family, and Dog’s daughter Lyssa shared a sweet message amid Beth’s cancer battle.

“I think you need to go through some stuff to really appreciate life and understand what it means to persevere, overcome, and have faith. I think those tough times make you a stronger person — Judith Hill,” Lyssa, 31, wrote in the caption of a gorgeous sunset. She also added the hashtags, “#F–Kcancer” and “#hugyourmom.”

Fans flooded the comments and they shared their condolences and well wishes with Lyssa. “Praying for your mother as well as your family,” one fan wrote, and another commented, “I know this all too well, hang in there girl. Prayers coming your way for you and mama.”

Last week, Lyssa’s dad Dog revealed to In Touch that Beth underwent an emergency cancer removal surgery after doctors found a lump in her throat that was twice the size as the mass that was found during her previous cancer battle last year. While the doctors were performing that surgery, they noticed a mass in Beth’s lungs and she had to undergo another procedure to perform the biopsy.

Now, Beth is back home and the family is awaiting the results of the testing. “Yes, I’m nervous about the test results tomorrow,” Dog told In Touch. “It’s like you kinda know what’s gonna happen, but you’re hoping and praying it’s not.”
