It hasn’t been an easy couple of days for Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman. She was rushed into emergency surgery on Nov. 28 for a blockage in her throat and shortly after she received even worse news: her cancer had returned. Her husband, Duane Chapman, told In Touch exclusively that he “has been by her side every step of the way.”

Unfortunately, Dog isn’t doing well either. He admitted, “I think I’m in a bad dream and I need to wake up.” It seemed like things were looking up for the happy couple — on Jan. 1, 2018, Beth proudly showed off her scars from surgery on Instagram, and would have been cancer free for almost a year now. On Nov. 28, 2018, Duane stepped out for the first time since Beth’s surgery — check out the pictures below.

Duane was seen leaving Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, Nov. 28, right after his wife, Beth, was rushed into emergency surgery earlier that day.

Dog’s Great Support Team

“Hopefully it hasn’t spread. Last time it didn’t spread at all, so we’re hoping the same thing,” Dog said about Beth’s cancer. We are certainly hoping for the best.

Tough Times For The Chapmans

He was seen with his daughter, Lyssa, on Wednesday night. He exclusively told In Touch, “People keep saying to me, ‘Dog, are you OK? But I’m not the one who’s sick.'”

Stay Strong, Dog And Beth!

Duane’s wife, Beth, opened up to People about her cancer battle in 2017. She said, “I knew I couldn’t let it take me over. I had to keep moving, every day, moving forward. That’s all you can do when you get a diagnosis like this. So I take it each day at a time. And I’ll fight with all that I have.”

It hasn’t been easy for Dog to watch his wife go through this tough time. Dog confessed, “I love my honey so much. I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”

Family First

Duane hasn’t left his wife’s side. He said, “I am going to be right there with her. First thing when she woke up from the surgery yesterday, she said, ‘Where’s the Dog?’ and the nurse was confused, she said, ‘Did she bring her dog with her?’ And I said, ‘Yes, ma’am.’ I’m here every moment I can be for her, I’ve never had to go through anything like this in my entire life.” Stay strong, you guys!
