Mom knows best. After news broke that Britney Spears checked into a wellness center on Wednesday, April 3, her mama, Lynne Spears, posted an inspiring message on Instagram that seemingly refers to the hard time her daughter is going through right now.

“Keep going. No matter how bad things are right now,” the message read. “No matter how stuck you feel. No matter how many days you’ve spent crying. No matter how many days you’ve spent wishing things were different. No matter how hopeless and depressed you feel. I promise you won’t feel this way forever. Keep going.”

Multiple sources confirmed to In Touch that the 37-year-old pop star is taking some time to focus on her herself amid her dad’s health issues. In January 2019, the “Toxic” crooner revealed her dad’s colon ruptured, and he almost died. “Britney was losing it. She’s not coping with the fact that her dad isn’t going to make it. She had a breakdown,” an insider exclusively told In Touch. They added that Jamie Spears “actually convinced her to check into a place.”

On Wednesday, April 3, the Mississippi native confirmed to her fans via Instagram that she was taking a little break. “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time,’” the caption read. “Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Mind. Body. Spirit.”

Even her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, seems to have Brit’s back. He reposted her uplifting note on social media and wrote, “It isn’t weakness, it’s a sign of absolute strength. People should only be inspired by this, at least I am. #Stronger.”

The Grammy winner revealed on January 4 that she would not be able to continue with her Las Vegas show at the moment, since she needs to be with her family. “I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show, Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart,” she said at the time. “However, it’s important to always put your family first … and that’s the decision I had to make.”

She continued, “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand. More information on ticket refunds is available on britneyspears.com. I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you and love you all … always.”

We are sending positive vibes to Britney during this tough time.
