Aw! Britney Spears’ boyfriend, Sam Asghari, is supporting the pop star amid her family drama. Of course, it’s a stressful situation, but the handsome hunk seems like he’s keeping the 37-year-old busy. “Britney is very anxious and is trying her best not to let her family and legal situation worsen her anxiety,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “She’s been really trying to use healthy tactics to counteract the anxiety. Sam has been helping Britney every step of the way and trying to keep her mind off of things. He’s a good influence in that sense.”

Recently, the couple — who has been linked since 2016 — made their first red carpet appearance together in July. Since then, it seems like the blonde beauty is adjusting to being out and about more frequently with her 25-year-old beau. “Sam has been taking her on hikes in picturesque locations and running outdoors to try to combat the stress,” the insider added. “They both love doing things like that. Britney wouldn’t normally feel comfortable hiking in a public spot, but Sam makes her feel safe.”

The source continued, “They spend a lot of time outdoors and will go walking in her neighborhood at the park and do ‘normal’ things. That’s what she really craves, normalcy.”

The personal trainer even gushed about how he connected with the princess of pop during her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016. “It was a direct book,” Sam explained to Entertainment Tonight of how he got the role in the video. “A good friend of mine was working on the music video at the time. They told the casting director to cast this guy, and then they sent my pictures to [Britney], and she picked it. She said, ‘I want this guy,’ and so that’s how it was.”

So, what did the duo discuss while they were on set? “We talked at the music video, and we talked about, ‘What do you like to eat? Sushi,’” he recalled. “And then [exchanged] text messages, and next thing you know, a date. Just like a normal couple.”

Meanwhile, Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, will still be her conservator after a court hearing took place on Wednesday, September 18, in Los Angeles. The 67-year-old has been Britney’s conservator since 2008 but recently stepped down due to “personal health” reasons. Jodi Montgomery, Britney’s care manager, will fill in for him in the meantime until her temporary conservatorship ends in January 2020.

Earlier this month, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline, 41, accused Jamie of child abuse after an alleged altercation took place between Jamie and Brit’s son Sean Preston. After the alleged incident, Kevin filed the paperwork and was granted a restraining order against Jamie. Now, Jamie cannot be around or have contact with Sean, 14, or his brother, Jayden James, 13, for three years.

However, Jamie was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing after Kevin’s accusations. For now, Britney is leaning on her man throughout this tough time. “He makes her feel special, and it’s helping to keep her happy through all the drama,” the insider admitted.
