Angelina Jolie Reportedly ‘Feels Like She Can Lean On’ Natalie Portman Amid Brad Pitt Drama
It’s always good to have a good friend during the tough times. Angelina Jolie has reportedly been turning to fellow actress Natalie Portman for support in the midst of her divorce from Brad Pitt, according to Radar Online. Because queens always help fix each other’s crowns!
A source told Radar, “Natalie and Angelina live in the same community and have secretly been pals for a while. They used to have dinner dates with their husbands and now that Angie is single, Natalie is one of the only people she feels like she can lean on.” Natalie, 37, is still married to Benjamin Millepied, who hopefully doesn’t mind his wife being there for her friend a little more these days.
Radar reported that Angelina, 43, has been reaching out to many of her Hollywood friends in the wake of her divorce from Brad, 55, and she and Natalie have become close friends. The same insider told the outlet that, interestingly enough, “Natalie has always had some social awkwardness and struggled to keep up her Hollywood friendships — until now” and that “While Natalie can be icy at times and is highly academic, Angie is someone who can match her intellect. There’s a lot of mutual respect here.” Yay for strong female friendships!
Angelia and Brad announced their split in September 2016, and are still working out a custody agreement. This is probably a time when Angelina needs more friends for support than ever, and Natalie is apparently really coming through for her.
Natalie and Angelina are also both moms — Natalie to Alpeh, 7, and Amalia, who is nearly 2, and Angelina to Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12 and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. That likely adds a whole other layer of understanding and respect to their bond. Who knows? Maybe some of their kids will get some besties out of this situation as well.
