Amy Roloff Attends Family Reunion With Boyfriend Chris Marek, Putting Split Rumors to Rest
They're still going strong! Amy Roloff and her boyfriend Chris Marek accidentally sparked split rumors on Independence Day after Little People, Big World fans thought there was trouble in paradise since Chris was noticeably missing from the pics that she posted in celebration of the holiday. But she assured everyone that things are just fine between them — and she even shared a cute new pic with her man to prove it.
"This guy! What a fun time at his family reunion picnic yesterday," the 53-year-old wrote in the caption on Instagram, and she even brought some of her homebaked goods to share with his fam. "Yes they loved my Oregon Bounty – Marion Berry loaf and Hazelnut cookies and Lemon cookies from Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen. Woohoo! I was excited about that and being with him."
Fans thought that there might be something going on between them since Chris had been noticeably missing from Amy's Fourth of July celebration earlier this month, but she had a pretty good explanation as to why he wasn't in any of the photos that she shared from that day.
"He came to the farm later to celebrate with everyone," Amy wrote, while responding to a concerned follower. Others got a kick out of the fact she even took the time to comment, since people are always speculating that something is wrong. "Every picture Amy posts gets a million questions, like if the whole dang family isn't [in] pictures, everyone assumes things, and wants to know why," one pointed out.
Amy has definitely moved on after her divorce from her ex-husband, Matt Roloff and she just reached a milestone with Chris, as they recently celebrated their one year anniversary. It seems like she's loving her new relationship and frequently marks their big moments on Instagram. Back in April, the duo went on a cruise together — and it looked like they had the best time.
"The end to a wonderful time on a cruise w/ Chris and friends," she wrote in the caption of a photo. "What a fun and great time on Royal Caribbean cruise. We’re heading back home today and looking forward to the next adventure. ??⚓️? #rccruise#sunfunfriends#amyssecondactcontinues#lifeadventures #lpbw #tlc."
The two even celebrated Easter together — with all of her kids. "Happy Easter! ??✝️????" she wrote at the time. "He is Risen! ?. Had a wonderful and great day with the kids and Chris! Much to be thankful for. I hope you had a wonderful day too. Spring has sprung and ready for possibilities. God is good. #amyssecondactcontinues#easterweekend2018 #heisrisen?#familykidslife #lovemercygrace#bekindinwordsandactions#showloveeveryday."
However, while all is well with the often private couple, the mother-of-four admitted that she did worry about what she feels might be an issue: their height difference. While Amy is a little person, Chris is actually average sized — unlike her ex. "I just never thought someone who is average size would be interested in me. I just really want him to never question or doubt the relationship because I’m a little person. I just have a good time. I have fun with him. I never thought I’d be dating as a grandma, and it’s nice to experience that and be with someone," she revealed.
Back in June 2015, Amy and Matt decided to file for divorce after 27 years of marriage. They have four kids together — sons Zach, Jeremy, and Jacob and a daughter, Molly, and originally separated one year prior. "After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce," they said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. "We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful business."
The Roloff patriarch has also moved on from the relationship with their farm manager Caryn Chandler — which was not easy for Amy to cope with, especially when she showed up at Zach and his wife, Tori's baby gender reveal party. "Seeing Caryn here threw me for a loop more than I would have liked. I think coming here to this particular event is an intimate family thing… It just throws a whole dynamic to my life here on the farm," she admitted at the time.
