Months after Victoria Beckham spoke out publicly against a Spice Girls reunion, a new report says the girl band is getting back together for a residency in Las Vegas—even without Posh!
According to the Daily Star, Mel B. is the driving force behind a reunion show planned at Planet Hollywood for summer 2016—to mark the 20th anniversary of the song “Wannabe,” which catapulted them to superstardom.

The exciting announcement comes shortly after Melanie Chisholm—better known as Sporty Spice—teased a possible performance to honor their megahit.
“It’s funny isn’t it because people are saying it’s the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls,” Mel C. recently told reporters. “We did get together in ‘94, but ‘Wannabe’ wasn’t released until 1996, so we don’t really see it until ‘96. And you might just see a few of us having a little dance on stage, no plan, but we’ll see what we can do for you.”
Mel C. Hints at a Possible Spice Girls Reunion!
The Spice Girls went on hiatus in 2000, and returned to the stage together with the Return of the Spice Girls tour in 2007. Then, in 2012, they reunited once again to perform at the opening ceremonies for the Summer Olympics in London.
Since then, Victoria has been adamant that, while she’s grateful for all her experiences, she won’t return to the stage with the Spice Girls.
“I won’t ever do it again.” She told Vanity Fair Italy. “Doing the Olympics was an incredible honor. I was proud to do it, proud to be British… that was the perfect time to say, ‘That’s great. Thank you everybody, but no more.’ Sometimes you’ve got to know when it’s time to leave the party.”
Even without Victoria, the Daily Star’s source insisted the girls are pushing forward with the Vegas show.

“Victoria has not budged on her stance to not join them, so they are planning to go out as a foursome,” the source said. “It will take them a good 18 months to get all the parts in place if they want to do a residency and possibly a tour to follow.”
