While shots of color and metallics punctuated the fashion at the Golden Globes, it was clear that classic black and white dominated the dress code. Both Eva Mendes and Kate Beckinsale went structural with their strapless gowns, each with eye-catching details on stark white. Salma Hayek, meanwhile, went for va-va-va-voom glamour with a simple dress that showcased her impressive curves. Heard on the red carpet from starlet Megan Fox, “I really want [Salma]’s boobs. Those are the most amazing boobs — perfect!” The black brigade included a glammed-up Tina Fey, who wore a plunging v-neck gown, and erstwhile “princess” Amy Adams in a shimmering, strapless black ball gown. The biggest thumbs-down, however, went to Renée Zellweger, whose black, sheer, cut-out, mermaid dress had far too many things going on to add up to great style. Topped off with a poufy bouffant and it was all just a bit off.
