So, if you didn’t already know, the Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve party is the place to be for the holiday. Celebs and fabulous folks all come together to celebrate in style, usually dripping in diamonds, but one particular famous face was noticeably absent from the crowd this year. Khloé Kardashian‘s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, was nowhere to be found on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day with the Kar-Jenner clan, but according to Us Weekly, the reason isn’t totally bad.

“Tristan couldn’t travel to L.A. because of his schedule,” an insider close to Khloé told Us. “Khloé couldn’t miss her family party – it’s their biggest tradition,” the source continued. “It’s a very important night for Khloé and she wanted to make sure all of the kids could be together.”

Considering the new mama decided to have her Thanksgiving celebrations in Cleveland, where Tristan is based as a forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers, we’re glad Khloé decided to keep things California-style for the big holiday. Plus, it was baby True’s first Christmas! We’re sure Daddy’s disappointed about missing it, but we suspect Grandma Kris Jenner would be even more upset TBH.

Naturally, Khloé wasn’t camera shy when it came to making holiday memories with her sweet new daughter, despite Tristan’s absence. “I have always looked forward to our annual Christmas Eve party but this year was hands down my favorite!!” she wrote in a cute Instagram post of herself with True. “True, you make everything so much more precious and memorable!!” She and Khloé were totally twinning all night with their cute white and silver outfits, which she was excited to share all over social media. Plus, little True’s smile is seriously to die for.

Though it is pretty clear Khloé and True had an absolute blast at the Kar-Jenner-West Christmas bash, we’re a little bummed out the whole Kar-Thompson fam couldn’t be together for the holiday. Hopefully, True and her dad will have their own little Christmas soon to make up for it.
