After finding out about her husband's affair, Vanessa Trump retaliated by giving Aubrey O'Day a phone call. But she didn't do it alone — reports are circulating that the then-mother-of-three (she now shares five children with soon-to-be ex-husband Donald Trump Jr.) confronted the Danity Kane singer with her then-five-year-old daughter on the phone. News broke on Monday, March 19 that Aubrey and Don Jr. had an affair six years ago after meeting on the set of Celebrity Apprentice Season 5 back in 2011. The 34-year-old singer was a contestant on the show, while the 40-year-old son of President Donald Trump served as an advisor. "Things started up with Aubrey and Don Jr. toward the end of the taping," a source close to Aubrey told Us Weekly. According to the news source, the affair lasted from late 2011 until March 2012. "Vanessa went crazy and was super jealous," another insider explained to Us Weekly.

Prior to the reports of the affair, the married couple of 12 years announced that they were divorcing on Thursday, March 15. "After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time," they said in a statement to People.

The affair may have lasted less than a year, but Aubrey thought it was going to be much more. "When it started, they were very serious all of a sudden," a third source said to Us Weekly. "He told her it was over with his wife, that they were separated and he didn't love her, all of that stuff… Aubrey fell for him hard. She thought they were going to be together for real."

Other news outlets report that it was Don Jr. who started it all. "It was him who chased her," an insider told Page Six. "He told her that his marriage was already in the process of dissolving. I think his marriage to Vanessa was over long before Aubrey came along."
