Don’t do it! Theresa Caputos ex-husband Larry Caputo gushed to Radar Online about the negative side of having your life broadcasted to the world via a reality TV show. “I can go down a list of reality shows where it’s destroyed them,” he said. “Once you’re in the public eye, anything can be revealed!” According to Larry, 62, reality TV is a good way to expose your secrets. Luckily, he doesn’t have any. “I have nothing to worry about. I’m not doing anything stupid or crazy. I feel secure that way,” he explained. “There’s nothing you’re going to get on me. But it’s ruined so many people’s lives.”

Larry and Theresa, 52, were married for 28 years, before they finalized their divorce in December 2018. The couple told Us Weekly at the time that “We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time.”

Long Island Medium first premiered in 2011 and has since had 12 seasons. The reality TV show follows the Caputo family in their everyday life. “When you’re in the public eye, it does put a strain on your personal life. That can be hard for the average person who is not a trained actor, because a trained actor knows what they’re getting themselves into,” he continued. “A reality person doesn’t realize what they’re getting themselves into, until they’re in it, and it’s a learning process.”

Larry moved to Santa Monica after the split, while Theresa stayed on the opposite coast in New York City. The dad-of-two confessed to Radar that shortly after his divorce was finalized, he crashed emotionally, and became extremely depressed. When he moved across the country to start his new single life, he was 200 pounds — but that changed. “With some depression, I dropped down to 163 pounds,” he confessed. “Because of my state of mind, I didn’t have an appetite. I leaned out and I was like ‘wow, I feel that much better, I look more youthful, [I have a] better frame of mind, physically and mentally I feel so much better.’”

The former reality star now has an immense amount of free time on his hands due to the fact that he does not have to film for Long Island Medium. He also no longer works long hours for his personal business, Big Larry Apparel as it has been shut down. “I have a lot of time by myself. I go for walks, hop in my car, try to learn my way around California. And I do go to the gym every day. That’s the highlight of my day,” he said.

We’re so happy Larry is killing it on the west coast, by truly living his life to the fullest. He even has a new lady in his life — who fans think like a little too similar to Theresa. In February, he took to Instagram to show off his new girlfriend via an adorable selfie which he captioned” “Love my baby boo!” Aww, go Larry!
