After learning that his ex Christina El Moussa was seeing Gary Anderson, Tarek El Moussa claimed in two separate interviews in late February that he was focusing on his kids and “staying positive.” But In Touch has learned that days later, on March 1, Tarek’s façade cracked.
After Gary’s daughter, Kacey Anderson, shared a photo of her dad on Instagram, Tarek snarkily commented, “Thank God those heart attacks didn’t kill him — he may make 60.” (Tarek doesn’t even follow Kacey’s account.)
Though the comment has since been deleted, sources tell In Touch it’s typical volatile behavior from the Flip or Flop star. “It’s a classic Tarek move to say absurdly rude things. He doesn’t think before he speaks," a production insider says.
While Tarek’s comment “is obviously messed up,” a source close to Gary explains, “Gary would never confront Tarek. He doesn’t care about him.”
“Tarek’s had [testicular and thyroid] cancer, so he should know better than to write that about another man’s health,” the insider says. “But this is Tarek’s way of getting the last word.”
As In Touch previously reported, Tarek also blocks critics and scrubs negative comments from his Instagram, keeping up the illusion that he is getting only positive feedback.
