They’re here! Emily Ratajkowski and husband Sebastian Bear-McClard welcomed their first child together on Monday, March 8. Now, they’ve revealed that their bundle of joy is named Sylvester Apollo Bear, and we can’t stop obsessing over the sweet moniker!

It turns out, Sylvester and Apollo actually has a very sweet meanings. Sylvester is derived from Latin and translates to “wooded” or “wild”, whereas Apollo is the Greek and Roman god of sunlight, prophecy, music and poetry.

IIn an op-ed written for Vogue, Emily opened up about wanting to keep her child’s sex to herself during her pregnancy, because she “won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.”

“I like the idea of forcing as few gender stereotypes on my child as possible,” she continued. “But no matter how progressive I may hope to be, I understand the desire to know the gender of our fetus; it feels like the first real opportunity to glimpse who they might be. As my body changes in bizarre and unfamiliar ways, it’s comforting to obtain any information that might make what’s coming feel more real.”

Emily has given fans many glimpses inside her pregnancy before welcoming her baby. Between her op-ed, stunning nude maternity photos, and many candid posts, EmRata’s followers were able to get up close and personal with her throughout her journey. At 20 weeks, she talked about “getting to know” her “new body,” for example.

Her journey may not have been typical, but Emily’s life as a wife and now mom couldn’t be more perfect for her. In February 2018, she shocked her fans by announcing she married her actor and producer beau after just a few weeks of dating. However, the hunk “wasn’t a stranger,” before things turned romantic, Us Weekly reported. “Emily has known Sebastian for years. They were all in a friend group.”

“Sooo, I have a surprise, I got married today,” she wrote on Instagram beside photos of the nuptials. Even her wedding attire wasn’t traditional: She traded in a white gown for a mustard pantsuit from Zara.

Not long after, the pair welcomed their “first child” in May 2019. “Everyone out here having babies (Kim, Megan, Amy) but we got a new special guy ourselves. It’s a boy! Meet Colombo,” Emily wrote beside a selfie with their German Shepherd. They announced they were expecting a human baby one year later in October 2020.

Congrats to the happy little family!
