Exclusive‘Robert Durst: An ID Murder Mystery’ Sneak Peek Shows Interrogation of Real Estate Heir — Watch
He’s in the hot seat. From the suspicious disappearance of Robert Durst’s wife, Kathleen, to the brutal murder of his friend, Susan Berman, there’s been a lot of questions left unanswered when it comes to the New York heir. Now, In Touch has an exclusive sneak peek at part two of Robert Durst: An ID Murder Mystery, and it shows his chilling interrogation.
“So I’m just going to ask this straight out,” the detective asks Robert. “If you had killed Kathie. Would you tell me?” and Robert responds, “no.” The detective then asks, “If you had killed Susan, would you tell me?” and the businessman replies with the same answer. Durst, 75, who is reportedly worth $100 million, will stand trial in California in 2019 for the 2000 murder of Berman.
One year after Berman’s murder, the body of Durst’s former neighbor Morris Black was found in Galveston, TX, and the businessman was tried for the murder, but was acquitted as it was determined to be self-defense. Durst was never charged with a crime related to his first wife’s disappearance, however Kathleen’s friend Ruth claims she was afraid of him and wanted to get a divorce. The upcoming specials will dive deeper into the case than ever before, so mark your calendars true crime fans.
Robert Durst: An ID Murder Mystery part one will air on Investigation Discovery on January 21 at 9 p.m. ET and part two will air on January 22 at 9 p.m. ET.
