Do not come for her man! Nicki Minaj is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty, and nobody’s opinion — not even her faithful fans, the Barbz — can change her mind about their relationship. On the Friday, July 26, episode of her Apple Music show, Queen Radio, Nicki addressed all of the hate that she gets online because of her man’s shady past.

“When a person is with a n—a that loved them before they had a dime in their pocket?” Nicki, 36, said, mentioning that she met Kenneth, 41, when she was a teenager growing up in Queens, New York. Nicki asked her fans, “How do you not understand that? How do you not understand happiness vs. clout? How f–king dare you talk about lowering standards.”

It seems like Ken has all of the qualities that the “Anaconda” rapper values in a partner and she insisted that she likes the fact that her man is not famous. “It’s the truth, money cannot buy me happiness and good sex,” she said.

Nicki went Instagram official with Ken in December 2018. Shortly after his identity was revealed, fans learned about his criminal past — which includes a conviction for one count of first-degree rape and resulted in him registering as a sex offender and a separate conviction on manslaughter charges.

But the Myx Moscato coowner seems to accept Ken’s past, and she’s been more open about sharing photos of her with her man on social media despite the backlash. Back in June, Nicki even featured her man very prominently as the male lead in the music video for her hit song, “MEGATRON.”

Just one day after the music video dropped, Nicki announced on Queen Radio that she and Ken are ready to take their relationship to the next level. “We did get our marriage license,” Nicki said. “I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”
