She’s gonna sing it in a song! Just one week after In Touch exclusively reported that country star Miranda Lambert split from her boyfriend Anderson East after only two years of dating, she is opening up about their breakup with her fans. Miranda performed at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN earlier this week and she got extremely candid about how she deals with heartbreak.

“I make it my mission every single time I step on the stage that no matter what, no matter where I am, I want to make you feel everything you could possibly feel,” Miranda told the audience, according to local paper Knox News. “I want you to feel sad, mad, happy and nostalgic and really pissed sometimes. That’s my favorite.”

“And part of feelings is also heartbreak, unfortunately, but fortunately for me, I can use it for my art or whatever. I like to write sad songs. I like to listen to sad songs, so I want to sing y’all one,” she continued and then she performed her hit “Tin Man.”

In the lyrics to the song, Miranda addressed the Tin Man from the popular film The Wizard of Oz, and she explained to him that he shouldn’t want a heart because of the way it feels when it breaks. “You ain’t missin’ nothin’ Cause love is so damn hard / Take it from me darlin’, you don’t want a heart.”

It seems like the 34-year-old was hinting at her recent split from her boyfriend. Last week, sources revealed to In Touch that Miranda and Anderson — who is also a country singer — called it quits after two years of dating after they “grew apart” while they were on separate tours. Anderson was the one who decided to end things and Miranda was devastated. “She didn’t see it coming,” the insider revealed.
