Is there a new feisty mama in town?! Malika Haqq took to Instagram to announce that she is having a baby boy while promoting a product used to prevent stretch marks. Trolls criticized the 36-year-old for using her pregnancy for capital gain, although the mom-to-be was not going to stand for any hate thrown her way.
“Why are all your pregnancy posts ads? That’s so bizarre to me,” one user questioned the brunette beauty. As several others joined in with similar thoughts, Malika hit back, writing, “I’ve WORKED my entire pregnancy. We clearly don’t do the same things.”
“It’s A Boy!!! I’m thankful to my baby boy and @BioOilUSA for my pregnancy glow. #BioOilPartner 🧡 I’ve used this oil for over 10 years to lessen the appearance of scars, stretch marks and for instant moisture,” Malika captioned the photo of her showing off her growing belly. “I wouldn’t dare go this pregnancy without it. #LoveYourMarks”
Despite the small dose of shade, her famous friends had her back and approval. “So gorgeous & all the facts! @biooilusa is the TRUTH,” pal Adrienne Bailon commented. Her sister Khadijah Haqq McCray chimed in, writing, “I love your glow!! So excited for my nephew.”
“Stunning!!! All day,” best friend Khloé Kardashian added, to which Malika replied, “Love you,” with a kiss emoji. Malika announced the good news back in late September and her friends and family couldn’t be happier. “Congratulations Mika May!!! I am so beyond overwhelmed with love and happiness!!” Khlo, 35, wrote on Malika post. “God is GREAT!!! We are all so blessed!! I love you and baby madly.”
Malika’s baby daddy is her ex-boyfriend O.T. Genasis. As the two aren’t together, she gave him the option to participate in her pregnancy or not. “Malika didn’t want to make O.T. part of her pregnancy journey unless he wanted to be involved,” a source told Us Weekly in October. “They are talking and feeling it out. He’s been getting more involved as her pregnancy has progressed.” We are happy to see Malika is embracing her pregnancy and can’t wait to see the sassy mama-to-be in action.
