Lauren London Shares Emotional New Tribute to Late BF Nipsey Hussle: ‘Missing You’
Stay strong, Lauren. Lauren London has broken her silence since burying her longtime lover, Nipsey Hussle, and our hearts just can’t take it. On Sunday, April 21, the 34-year-old took to Instagram to share a candid screenshot of the two gazing into each other’s eyes on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammy Awards. “Missing you,” the actress captioned the heartwarming black and white photo.
This is not the first time Lauren has paid tribute to her late boyfriend, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom. The brunette beauty recently got a tattoo of Nipsey’s face on her forearm, with the words, “God will rise.” Now, her late lover will forever be by her side. “Real Love Never Dies. When you see me, you will always see him. #LoveYouHussle #TMC,” she captioned the IG photo of her new ink on Thursday, April 11.
The Game actress showed off her strength and courage at Nipsey’s Celebration of Life memorial service on Thursday, April 11, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. “Never would I prepare for something like this, so bear with me,’’ she said to the 21,000-person crowd of mourners before she began her tearful speech with her children and Nipsey’s relatives by her side. The mom-of-two continued to reflect on her 5-year relationship with the Los Angeles native by sharing a personal text she had sent to Nipsey while he was sleeping on January 21, 2019. “Ermias, I want you to know that I feel joy in my heart when I am around you. I feel safe around you, protected, like a shield over me when you are around. You’ve made me into more of a woman. You’ve given me the opportunity to really love a man,” she read. “I wouldn’t want to go through this journey with anyone but you … I just want you to know that you have been the greatest boyfriend to me.”
Nipsey lost his life on Sunday, March 31, at the age of 33 after being tragically shot multiple times outside of his L.A. clothing store. The Los Angeles police department later identified the shooter as 29-year-old Eric Holder. The Racks in the Middle artist and Lauren had one child together, 2-year-old Kross, but have also formed a blended family with their children from previous relationships, Nipsey’s daughter Emani, and Lauren’s son Cameron.
Nipsey’s memory will live on always and forever.
