Kailyn Lowry Says Lux’s Dad Chris Lopez Was Her “First True Love” and “First Real Heartbreak”
Heartbreak is rough! Kailyn Lowry didn't hold back in a candid new Q&A on her blog, revealing how she coped with losing her "first true love" and several other painful experiences. The Teen Mom 2 star opened up about her rocky split with Chris Lopez and said it was one of the hardest things she's ever had to deal with.
"I believe Lux's dad was my first true love…I know, weird, when I had two kids with two other people," Kailyn dished about her third baby daddy. "But this is my life. This was my first REAL heartbreak, where I loved someone and was IN love with someone. And I felt so abandoned during such a vulnerable time." The reality star also said that her last two splits with Javi Marroquin and Jo Rivera were gut-wrenching, but parting ways from Chris was on a whole new level. "Breaking up with Isaac and Lincoln’s dads was upsetting because I felt like my kids lost the family aspect that I craved so badly for them," she added. "But this was different."
Kailyn also discussed her current stance with Javi and Jo, revealing they're civil for the sake of co-parenting. "I talk to them if/when I see them and that’s the extent of my relationship with them," she said. "I appreciate everything they do for my sons and I’m glad my sons are able to grow up knowing them. There’s no reason for a close relationship between them and myself." The Teen Mom star most recently called it quits with ex-girlfriend Dominique Potter, but Kailyn let fans know that she doesn't feel the need to explain her sexual preference to anyone.
It wasn't long ago that Kailyn spilled the tea about her fizzled romance with Chris on her podcast. The couple had quite a messy breakup and it actually left Kailyn feeling like she was ready to give up on men altogether. "Right now, every man is like Chris, like, I want nothing to do with [them]," the 26-year-old revealed while chatting with her Coffee Convos co-host, Lindsie Chrisley. "I was with girls before Chris, [but] I just want to stay far away from men right now." At least she's focused on being the best mama possible!
