Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell Get Handsy AF During Wet-And-Wild Bachelor/Bachelorette Party
Watch those hands, Joseph Duggar! The Counting On star may be married to Kendra Cadlwell and expecting baby No. 1, but while filming last night’s new episode, he was only an engaged man. During their joint bachelor/bachelorette party, the duo went tubing (with Jim Bob, obv) and got a little handsy. Watch the video above for all the scandalous details!
The 23-year-old felt the need to explain himself as cameras caught the duo inching closer and closer together. “When they put you in a turn, you’re trying to counter for the turn so I had to move from side to side so therefore I was crawling over top of her and definitely in close quarters,” he said. Even Joy-Anna Duggar‘s husband, Austin Forsyth, noticed them getting cozy on the tube and shouted, “Where’s your chaperone?!”
The conservative family follows strict rules including no sex before marriage, no front-facing hugs, and no dancing. On an episode of 19 Kids and Counting, Jill clarified the latter. “I don’t think it’s necessarily a rule,” she said, “We don’t want to stir up desires, just different things that, um, cannot be… righteously fulfilled, that cannot be, um, I don’t know, so, anyway, our family has chosen not to dance.” They’re also expected to save their first kiss for their wedding day — which is probably why their engagements are so short.
“Our bachelor and bachelorette parties are different from most peoples, probably for the fact that we don’t have any alcoholic beverages,” Joe explained after his wet-and-wild tubing session. “We believe that you don’t have to have alcohol to have fun. We have a lot of fun as a family doing different activities. Any time that you have a bunch of people together it’s always a great time for us.” Whatever, uh, floats their boat!
