The Gang’s All Here! Er, Except Jessa… A Recent Duggar Family Photo Has Fans Talking
These days, we don’t often get to see the whole Duggar gang together except for the rare moment where they’re gathering to wish Michelle Duggar a happy birthday or something. But over the weekend, while they were celebrating John David Duggar‘s wedding to his new wife, Abbie Grace Burnett, some of the older kids and their spouses got together for a little fun. Pretty much all of the married couples were there — except for Josh and Anna Duggar and Josiah Duggar and his wife Lauren— but fans couldn’t help noticing something weird. And no, we’re not talking about that mystery guy who people immediately speculated must be there to court Jana Duggar.
Instead, they noticed that there were a few family members missing, and we don’t just mean the kids. While it seems that Derick Dillard may have stayed home to study for law school, we know that Jessa Duggar was at the family celebration — and yet she’s not in the picture that Jinger Duggar shared. So what’s the deal? Was she just busy doing something else somewhere else? Or is there another reason that the 26-year-old wasn’t part of the “round table discussion”?
Fans took to the comments to share their questions, concerns, and best guesses. “Where’s Jessa?” was asked about thirty different times. “Is Jessa at home celebrating Spurgey’s birthday?” commented one of the family’s followers. “I just figured she was chasing her toddlers around and just let Ben represent them in the meeting,” said another. “I think Jessa is taking the picture,” speculated even more as plenty of Instagram users discussed amongst themselves why she isn’t in frame — especially when Laura DeMasie, who’s not technically family, and a stranger are. Ultimately, though, it all came back to one particularly persistent theory.
When it comes to the Duggars, after all, there must always be someone expecting. With Jessa not in the picture, fans immediately started wondering if it’s because she might be hiding a certain something like, say, a baby bump. “Maybe she’s hiding a pregnancy,” suggested one fan. They cited rumors that claim that mother of two is expecting her third baby, one that has been consistently floated by fans and occasionally debunked by Jessa herself. Of course, the 26-year-old doesn’t look particularly pregnant in her congratulations video to her brother and new sister-in-law but, hey, you never know with this family, right?
