Javi Marroquin Explains What Really Went Wrong With ‘Real World’ Star Madison Walls
It’s been about a month since Javi Marroquin confirmed that he and Real World star Madison Channing Walls called it quits after a whirlwind two-week relationship. While the father-of-one originally confirmed the breakup by saying they “decided being friends is better off,” he is now revealing more about what went wrong between the pair.
“The biggest thing was I had a hard time reading motives and intentions, so when things started coming out in the tabloids, there were a lot of things I didn’t know about,” he explained on a Teen Mom after show.

He implied that he didn’t watch her season of The Real World, which focused a lot on her prior battle with heroin addiction. He continued, “I guess she had a past, she overcame that past, and she didn’t tell me about.”
At the time of the breakup, they didn’t waste any time scrubbing the other’s presence from social media.

This marked Javi’s second failed relationship since announcing his split from Kailyn Lowry, the mother of his three-year-old son, Lincoln, in May 2016. He was previously linked to Cassie Bucka, though they split back in January after one month of dating.
“She’s amazing, but Cassie has been really hurt in the past so it’s hard for her to not think that she’ll be hurt again. I don’t think she was ready for everything to come at her at once,” he said at the time. “She’s an amazing girl though and if she ever does allow someone to love her that’ll be a lucky guy. I hope it’ll be me, but not right now I guess.”
We bet it won’t be long until Javi finds love again, especially since he recently submitted an audition tape for MTV’s dating reality series Are You the One?

“Hey, everybody, this is Javi, most of you know me from Teen Mom 2. You know what happened to me and you know I love to love and I’m looking for love and just can’t find it,” he explained. “I have a three-year-old little boy, he means everything to me. I’m trying to figure out who is the one. I’m trying to take someone out on a date.”
Multiple cast members from the franchise — such as Tori Deal, Prosper Muna, and Gio Rivera are all for the famous father joining the new cast. They exclusively shared their thoughts with In Touch at the Are You the One? Second Chances viewing party in NYC on Wednesday at Beautique.
