Heather Locklear Placed On Psychiatric Hold After Allegedly Beating Up Her Boyfriend
Melrose Place star Heather Locklear has been placed on psychiatric hold on Nov. 18 after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, In Touch confirms. Around 5 p.m. yesterday, the 57-year-old allegedly attacked her man and threw him out of her house. The meltdown seemingly resulted in a 51/50 hold, which is when a person is involuntarily committed to a hospital to have their mental health evaluated by doctors because they may pose a threat to themselves or others. Heather could be held for up to 72 hours, though it’s unclear if she’s still in the hospital.
2018 has been a rough year for the actress. While her most recent drama was a medical call, according to Radar Online, she has been arrested several times for criminal complaints. Heather was arrested back in June for allegedly driving her car into a pylon on her property after drinking a bottle of tequila. When the police arrived, she attacked them and was taken into custody for police battery. Hours after she was released, she was rushed to the hospital for an alleged overdose.
Just one week earlier, Heather had been arrested for allegedly choking her 85-year-old mother. In the same instance, she allegedly said she wanted to shoot herself. She reportedly went to rehab, but left after only two days and bought a bottle of alcohol on the way home. That’s when she crashed and attacked the paramedic, who pressed charges. Earlier that week she had gotten into a very public fight with her fiancé Chris Heisser.
Back in February, Heather and Chris allegedly got into another “physical fight,” according to Daily Mail, in which she bit her fiancé on the nose. When police came, she began punching, kicking, and swearing at them. She refused to cooperate and threw a fit, while her 20-year-old daughter Ava looked on. Despite everything, her ex and Ava’s father Richie Sambora has been very supportive. He said, “I will, of course, always be there for Heather, and especially Ava. I am very proud of my daughter for her composure and strength during this difficult time.” We wish them all the best.
